About the Cincinnati Programmers Guild

The Cincinnati Programmers Guild is founded on the premise that the art of software design is best practiced with a sense of craftsmanship and personal responsibility. Our objectives are to educate our members and the general public about the art of software design, promote the software design professions and engage in community service.

Since its founding in 2001, the Guild has held many meetings with a focus on the technologies, methodologies and essential skills needed to create good software. The Guild is platform, vendor and language agnostic, all are welcome. This has a practical effect of very diverse educational presentations at our meetings. Technologies that are in high demand are well represented, but there have also been seemingly more obscure topics which nonetheless demonstrate useful techniques. The intent is to offer transferrable knowledge to our members, skills that can be applied to whatever tools are most suited for the next project.
