Liberate Domains is a free, open source desktop application intended to fight the global crisis of cybersquatting. Available for Mac & PC, it performs whois lookups, reverse lookups and availability checks at the source registries, preventing interlopers from pilfering your valuable ideas. Liberate Domains was released on June 23rd, 2008; the 25th anniversary of the Domain Name System (DNS).

Hear about the Unasi syndicate, its abuse of the DNS, registrar involvement, and practical tactics to prevent the balkanization of the Web.
